Setup Instructions

After downloading the file, unzip it in a temporary directory.
Run setup.exe to install. If there is an old version of CodeVisionAVR present, you may install the new one over it.
If installing under Windows® NT4, 2000 or XP, in another directory than the default c:\cvavr, make sure that the directory name doesn't contain embedded spaces.
Failure to do this will lead to error messages about assembly errors.
Also on the first run, under Windows® NT4, 2000 or XP, you must use Administrator privileges.
On subsequent runs, Power User privileges may also be used.

Included with the book is a CDROM containing samples all of the example programs from the book as well as an evaluation version of the CodeVisionAVR C Compiler and IDE.

    How to Purchase:

    1. Download the Standard Edition or Light Edition (cvavr.zip) of the CodeVisionAVR C Compiler. ( Note: The commercial versions are stored in password protected ZIP files. )

    2. Order the compiler at cvavr@embedded-inet.com giving your name, address, and company information.
      We will email to you the password required to unzip the protected file.

    3. Unzip the file into a temporary directory, and run setup.exe.

    4. After installation, when you run the compiler it will display a window with the computer-specific serial number in large red digits. Please send the serial number to cvavr@embedded-inet.com and we will get your license request processed.

      Upon completion of the purchase, we will email you a license file that unlocks your compiler. We can usually get a license processed within a day!!
